Cancellations can be very disruptive to people’s plans. Because of this, penalties may apply if you cancel an Instance of your Experience that’s already been booked by a Seeker.

How to Cancel a Booked Instance of your Experience

To cancel an Instance of your Experience that has already been booked by a Seeker, locate it under Order Management, and select Cancel. Your Seeker(s) will receive a notification and a full refund.

Cancellation Penalties 

Cancellations may incur a fee of up to 20% of the booking value of the canceled Experience, deducted from an upcoming payout. We’ll notify you if a fee will be charged before you complete a cancellation.

Frequent cancellations, or no-shows, are a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in removal of the Experience and your account from the EXPLORINGNOTBORING Platform.

Weather 

If your Experience takes place outdoors, you may cancel if weather conditions create an unsafe or uncomfortable environment for participants. You won’t receive a penalty for cancellations due to extreme weather and may need to supply documentation to verify weather-related claims.

Emergencies or Safety Issues

We understand that emergencies happen. No penalties are applied for cancellations under the Extenuating Circumstance Policy, or for cancellations made for valid safety reasons.

Rescheduling for a Different Date or Time

It’s best practice to arrange an alternative date or time that your Seekers agree works for them to reschedule rather than cancelling the reservation. If you cancel the booking and manage to arrange an alternative date or time to re-book with your Seekers, contact us to let us know after you cancel. We’ll verify that your Seekers have agreed, and remove any penalty that was applied.
